Buddha, meaning "the awakened one," is a spiritual teacher and enlightened being who founded Buddhism. Born as Siddhartha Gautama in ancient India, he renounced a life of luxury to seek truth and liberation from suffering. After years of meditation and introspection, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, uncovering the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. Buddha's teachings emphasize compassion, mindfulness, and the cultivation of wisdom to achieve inner peace and transcend the cycle of rebirth. His serene countenance and profound wisdom inspire millions around the world to pursue a path of self-discovery and spiritual awakening.
This is an original photograph of my personal Buddha Statue in the tall summer grass of New Hamshire. Printed and then transferred onto a 6 x 6 inch Birch Wood cradled panel and finished with a coat of epoxy resin. Each piece is handmade and has its own unique character depending on a few different factors such as the grain and texture of the wood, the specific image being transferred, and the delicate removal of the paper. Each piece will come with a one inch sawtooth picture hanger. This piece has Imitation Gold-leaf details on the frame and and gold disc in the back.
Here is a link to the blog that gives a brief description of the steps it takes to create one of these one of kind art pieces. Each one takes about 3 days to complete as long a there are no mishaps along the way.
