I’ve always been interested in the process of transferring images onto surfaces other than photo paper. I discovered these cradled wood panels and started learning the technique. Each piece takes about 3-6 hours start to finish depending on the amount of detail. Each piece has its own unique character. This artwork can be hung on a wall or stand on a table or shelf. This is really a labor of love and it is always exciting to see the end results
This image was captured after an ice storm in New Hampshire. This Buddha sat beneath a beautiful Japanese maple tree that after the storm, both the tree and the Buddha were incased in ice.
I will be adding more over the coming weeks.
The wood transfer has Imitation Gold-leaf details on the frame and and gold disc in the back.
